Black Death, Spanish flu, Cholera … these are the moments that the Grim Reaper has previously relished. Now it’s 2020 and there’s a new plague in town. This emotional staging uncovers the tragic, sometimes hilarious, but always true story of one person’s will to live, for love. Showing how the power of positive communication can help the fight to survive and deal with trauma. In this tale of survival and a love letter to the NHS, ‘Dr Reaper’ navigates both a humorous and macabre journey, a warts and all reveal of a war zone in a London ICU, as our 'PATIENT:SOLDIER' quite literally fights for life, playing against the backdrop of a Health Service visibly buckling, through the most tumultuous time in its history.
This is a one-person performance and will be played on Friday and Saturday matinee by Katherine White and on Saturday evening and Sunday by Michael Mahoney.
