We will offer a limited number of groups of artists/companies space and fees for a week of rehearsals, leading up to a sharing in one of our performance spaces. They will also be provided with technical and front of house staff for the day of the sharing, as well as support in inviting industry to sharings if they wish.
The Next Step initiative strives to alleviate the financial pressures of taking work to the next stage of development and will allow artists an opportunity to showcase their work.
Application Criteria
Next Step is for projects that need some support to move things along. You will likely have a draft of a script or a shape of a performance already and be looking to progress your work. We are particularly interested in projects that will benefit from the opportunity to stage a sharing either for creative feedback, to start new conversations or to seek investment.
Please note that we are able to pay up to five artists per Next Step at Equity minimum rates. If your team involves more than five artists, you are still welcome to apply, but please detail in your application how this will be funded.
